Signly’s BSL translation of this page will appear in a day or two. Until then, you can watch RNID’s BSL information about the survey here.
Last year, DeafATW and RNID worked together on a survey to find out about deaf and deafblind people's experiences of AtW.
We shared what you told us with AtW, the AtW Stakeholder Forum (England, which I co-chair), the Minister at the APPG on Deafness, Parliament's Public Accounts Committee, and you.
It may not always be visible, but this evidence has really helped us work with AtW to improve at least some things.
It was so useful that we are running a survey again this year, but a lot shorter (!), to find out what has got better, what has stayed the same, and what has got worse.
Again, we will use what you tell us to push for improvements to AtW.
Because DeafATW and RNID are working together, some updates about this survey will come from RNID and some from DeafATW.
Is this survey for you?
You can take part if you are deaf or deafblind, or you have hearing loss or tinnitus, and you have contacted AtW in the past 12 months about any of the following:
You can take part if you are still waiting for a decision, or if AtW refused your application.
Please do the survey, and share it with colleagues, friends and family. The more of you who take part, the stronger our evidence, and the more weight we have when we engage with AtW and campaign for change.
The survey closes on Monday 7 December 2026.
The survey is in English and BSL, and you can respond in English or BSL.
If you have any questions about the survey, email me at darren@deafatw.com or RNID at panel@rnid.org.uk
Cheers,
Darren
